After a 15 year career in the banking industry, working in Thailand, London, Singapore and Hong Kong, I decided to pursue my passion in Positive Psychology. It began with a certificated in Positive Psychology with Dr. Tal Ben-Shahar. I am a proud advocate of positive psychology and a practitioner of mindfulness and happiness.
My passion in positive psychology began after I quit my job to pursue my dream of being a mom. Infertility problems and stress from a demanding career, made conceiving difficult. After many IVF attempts and miscarriages, my dreams came true but it took 10 years of trying. Since then, I have found great joy and purpose in advising friends who are dealing with fertility problems which then lead me to becoming a happiness/life coach.
To better equip myself, I enrolled in positive psychology courses with Dr. Tal Ben-Shahar to help myself answer the key question that everyone I meet often asks me "how do you stay happy?" My first reaction to this question is always, “WHY NOT?". Why not choose HAPPINESS, when you can? Everyone has a choice, to choose to have a happy and purposeful life! I want to spread the message of kindness, love and happiness back into this world to help make the world we live in a happier place.
As a host of this world happiness festival for HK, it will help fulfill my contribution back to this world. As a Happiness Trainer, I often host workshops related to positive psychology using fitness as a medium. I strongly believe that exercise is one of many important pathways to happiness. The book, Spark, The Revolutionary New Science of Exercise, and The Brain, by Dr John J Ratey, opened my eyes to the power of exercise and how it makes people happy. Part of my workshop series include hiking adventures, Thai kick boxing sessions and dance classes. I strongly believe that exercise provides a healthy daily dose of happiness.
